It took Andres Guardado all of two minutes to score the opening goal of the match. Fernando Enrique Ruiz Arce and Jose Jonny Oliva Magallon added goals for the win.

The team practiced from 11.00 to 12.00 at Stade Saputo on the eve of the big game. Canada will kick off at 20.00 at Stade Saputo in Montréal, QC. “It’s important that we pick up points in every match,” says coach Dale Mitchell. “(This stage) is a mini league and all four teams will be judged at the end of six matches.”

Canada is training this week in Montréal for a Saturday night match against Honduras.
