Pro Diploma

Overview

The Concacaf Pro Diploma coaching course aims to support student coaches in developing the competences essential to lead a professional environment. Student coaches will be provided with the tools to create a positive learning environment to enhance the professional player’s footballing skills, knowledge, and attitudes. Throughout the course, student coaches will be encouraged to engage in reflective practices, whether formal or informal.

Prerequisites

To apply, you must meet all the following criteria:

  • Licence: Valid Canadian A Licence (held for 12+ months) or approved International Equivalent.
  • Role: must be coaching Professional or National Team players
  • Clearance: Valid Criminal Record Check
  • Safe Sport Roster: complete and up to date

Admissions Timeline

  • Apply (Feb 16 – Mar 16): Applications close at the end of the business day on March 16
  • Review (Mar 17 – April 13): All applicants are screened during this period.
  • Notification (By April 14): Acceptance or rejection notices are sent.
  • Acceptance: Selected individuals have 30 days to accept their spot and pay the fee in full.

COURSE DETAILS

Format & Attendance

  • In-Person: Three workshops of 10 days (June 16-26, 2026), 6 days (December 6-11, 2026) and 5 days (June 8-12, 2026).
  • Online: A mix of self-paced (asynchronous) and collaborative (synchronous) learning.
  • In-Situ: Mentor visits to student coach’s Professional, or National Team environment.
  • Study Visits: Student coach arranges to visit a relevant professional environment of the choice.
  • Attendance Policy: Coaches must attend 100% of all sessions to be licensed.

Fees ($15, 000)

  • Includes: Mentor Support, content access, facility rentals, onsite meals accommodations during In-person sessions, digital tools, and Canada Soccer Nike branded equipment (excluding footwear).
  • Excludes: Travel to/from In-Person sessions or Study Visits.

In addition to the dates noted below, coaches will be expected to attend 1 synchronous session per month during the course and complete independent (asynchronous) work. At least one study visit must also be arranged by the coach with all associated details managed by them.
