Senior Women’s NCAA Tour

Ottawa, Ontario – Canada’s Women’s National Team Head Coach, Even Pellerud, has released his 18-woman roster for the team’s upcoming four-city, five-match tour of the USA where they are expected to play the University of Louisville and Purdue University in Louisville, KY, the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO, the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS, and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE.



The team is expected to depart for Louisville, KY on April 6th and return to Canada from Omaha, NE on April 15th, the day after the match against Nebraska.



Returning to the senior team is Melanie Booth of Burlington, Ontario. Booth had earned 15 senior caps. Her last appearance was against Brazil on July 17, 2003. She had played 22 times earning three goals with the U-19 squad, finishing in the 2002 FIFA U-19 Women’s World Championship Final against the United States.

Pellerud annonce ses joueuses pour la tournée universitaire américaine

Ottawa, Ontario – L’entraîneur-chef de l’équipe féminine senior du Canada, Even Pellerud, a dévoilé les noms des 18 joueuses qui participeront à la tournée américaine. Le Canada disputera cinq matchs dans quatre villes différentes. La sélection affrontera l’Université de Louisville et l’Université Purdue à Louisville, Kentucky, l’Université du Missouri à Columbia, Missouri, l’Université du Kansas à Lawrence, Kansas, et l’Université du Nebraska à Lincoln, Nebraska.

Canada Takes On Jamaica This Labour Day in Montreal

Ottawa, Ontario – The Canadian Soccer Association is pleased to announce that the Men’s National Team will play a home and away series of international friendlies against Jamaica this fall.



The first match between the two nations is scheduled for Monday, September 4 (Labour Day) at 4:00 p.m. in Montreal at the Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard.



The second match will take place in Kingston, Jamaica on Sunday, October 8th. The kick off time is still to be determined.

Canada & USA to Renew Rivalry in Cary, NC

Ottawa, Ontario – Canada’s Women’s National Team and their American counterparts will renew their rivalry in Cary, NC on July 30, 2006.

This will mark the 36th time (3 wins, 3 draws, 29 losses) Canada and the USA have met since their first encounter in 1986, easily the most of any Canadian opponent (China and Brazil are second with 13 matches).

Pellerud Finalizes Squad for Holland Series

Ottawa, Ontario – Canada’s Women’s National Team Head Coach, Even Pellerud, has released his 17-woman roster for the two matches against the Netherlands on March 1 and 4, 2006 in Vancouver and Victoria, BC.



The first match of the two-game series will take place on March 1, 2006 at Thunderbird Stadium on the campus of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. Kickoff has been scheduled for 7pm PT.



The second will be played on March 4, 2006 at Centennial Stadium on the campus of the University of Victoria in Victoria, BC. Kickoff time has been set for 1pm PT. The match will be broadcasted live (on all regional channels) by Rogers Sportsnet.

Ottawa, Ontario – L’entraîneur-chef de l’équipe canadienne féminine senior, Even Pellerud, a annoncé sa liste de 17 joueuses pour les deux matchs opposant le Canada aux Pays-Bas, qui auront lieu les 1er et 4 mars 2006, à Vancouver et à Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique.

Canada Arrives in Vienna – Injury Keeps Stalteri in London

Vienna, Austria – Canada’s Men’s National Team have all arrived in Austria ahead of Wednesday’s friendly in Vienna.



The last two players to arrive were FC Brugge’s Mike Klukowski and Fulham’s Tomasz Radzinski. Both players were busy with their clubs on Sunday – Radzinski playing 75 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Bolton while Brugge and Standard Liege shared the points in a vital top of the table clash in the Belgian First Division.



But one of Canada’s most experienced defender’s, Paul Stalteri, was not on the field when Canada held its first training session this afternoon.
