Canada took part in its final training session on Monday morning in Belek, Turkey, one day in advance of its Men’s International Friendly against Belarus this 29 March. Both players and coaches agreed that the team’s week-long camp in Turkey has been one of the sharpest and most focused sessions in recent memory.
Canada’s women’s national team has opened camp in Roma, Italy, a four-week camp as part of the team’s preparations for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011. Coach Carolina Morace has called 24 players into camp from 23 March to 20 April.

The Canadian Soccer Association is pleased to announce the return of Rogers Sportsnet as the national broadcast partner of the 2011 Nutrilite Canadian Championship. All six matches featuring Impact Montréal, Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Championship debutants FC Edmonton will be broadcast live in High Definition on Rogers Sportsnet over four Wednesday nights from 27 April to 25 May.
Canada has moved up to sixth place on the FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking, the highest position ever for the national team since the rankings were introduced in 2003. Canada posted the biggest jump of any nation, gaining 54 points on the heels of eight wins, two draws and one loss in the three-plus months since the last ranking in November. The most recent ranking includes Canada’s first-place finish at the 12-team Cyprus Women’s Cup from 2-9 March.

Canada has announced its roster for the upcoming Men’s International Friendly against Belarus on 29 March. Coach Stephen Hart has selected 18 players for the match, to be played on a FIFA International Date in Antalya, Turkey. This will be Canada’s second international match of the 2011 season.
Members of Canada’s national women’s team have returned home for a short break following a successful run at the 2011 Cyprus Women’s Cup. The players will have just less than two weeks at their homes before returning to Europe for their next preparatory camp in advance of this summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011.

Les joueuses n’auront que deux semaines de vacances avant de retourner en Europe pour entamer leur prochain camp en vue de la prochaine Coupe du Monde Féminine de la FIFA ayant lieu cet été en Allemagne.
