Kaylyn Kyle’s first national youth camp was a real eye opener. She was only 14 years old at the time, leaving Saskatchewan for a Canadian U-16 camp just south of the border in Montana. She didn’t know anyone as she was the only player from her region.
The Canadian Soccer Association reported today that Carolina Morace has agreed to remain in her role as Head Coach of Canada’s Women’s National Team through to the 2012 London Olympic Games. Morace will also continue in her role as the Head Coach of the Women’s U-20 National Team.

Canada trained today at the University of South Florida near Tampa, FL in preparation for its second CONCACAF Gold Cup group stage match against Guadeloupe on Saturday (18.00 local kick-off). The match will be televised on Rogers Sportsnet One (18.00 ET / 15.00 PT), as well as available online at GoldCup.org.
Canada travelled to Tampa Bay, FL on Wednesday to begin preparations for Saturday’s group-stage match at the CONCACAF Gold Cup against Guadeloupe. The team took part in some light training and recovery work on the day following its first game of the competition against the USA in Detroit,MI.
Canada’s Brittany Timko has made her 100th appearance for Canada’s national team. Timko reached the milestone as part of Canada’s starting XI for the 7 June Women’s International Friendly match against Hungary in Budapest. Timko served as captain for the match.
