Canada’s men’s national team travels to Montréal on Sunday 5 September in between two home Men’s International Friendly matches on the FIFA International schedule. Canada lost 0:2 to Peru on Saturday night and now looks ahead to facing Honduras on 7 September at Stade Saputo in Montréal, QC.
There is plenty of experience on Canada’s roster in advance of the two Men’s International Friendly matches on September’s FIFA International calendar. Among those stalwarts is right back Paul Stalteri, who is now just one match away from tying Canada’s all-time record for appearances held by The Soccer Hall of Fame honoured member Randy Samuel.
The FIFA International schedule features a full slate of football matches these coming days, including a pair of Men’s International Friendly matches featuring Canada over the long weekend. In all, there are 67 international matches over a five-day period from 3-7 September, with Canada facing Peru on 4 September in Toronto and then Honduras on 7 September in Montréal.

This means that fans across the country can watch all three Canadian home matches on Rogers Sportsnet in the month of September. Canada’s national team met the press today upon its arrival downtown Toronto after four days in Alliston, ON. The Canadian team had been training in Alliston since Monday, including a Thursday morning session before leaving for Toronto. The team traveled by bus to downtown Toronto and met the media in a press conference at the Intercontinental Yorkville.
Canada’s men’s national team has opened camp in Alliston, ON under head coach Stephen Hart. Eleven players have arrived in town from their professional clubs in North America and Europe. The national team trains just north of Toronto throughout the week in advance of the Canada-Peru match this Saturday 4 September.
