Francis Crawley... moved to Toronto, ON in 1911... he was 50 years old when he passed away in April 1945... as noted in 1927 in the Toronto Telegram, Crawley was “not only a good defence man, but can fill in at centre forward”... as noted in 1943 by Jim Coleman, Francis was “one of the best soccer players developed locally”...
was part of the 1927 Canadian team that toured New Zealand, with 21 wins in 24 matches over a 10-week span (including four test matches in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland)...
