Dr. John Bennett

John Sutton Bennett, MB, BS, FRCSC, FACOG... he passed away in Ottawa after heart failure... served on the Royal Air Force (74 Tiger Squadron) as a spitfire fighter pilot... earned his degree at St. Mary's Medical School in 1953... he was 35 years old when he moved to St. John’s, NL in 1955 with his wife Robina and family; his family moved to Kelowna, BC in 1959 and then Ottawa, ON in 1969... worked for the Canadian Medical Association in Ottawa (he joined as Director of Scientific Councils in 1969; he retired as Associate General-Secretary in 1991)...

served as Canada team staff at one FIFA youth tournament (U-17 at Ecuador 1995)…
