Lorraine Donna Miller... she was 75 years old when she passed away in Ottawa on 12 September 2022... she worked for Canada Soccer for 33 years from 1973 to 2006...

honoured as a Canada Soccer Life Member... recipient of Canada Soccer’s President’s Award in 1998... recipient of Canada Soccer’s Aubrey Sanford Meritorious Service Award in 2006...

said Terry Quinn during the Canadian Soccer Association’s President’s Award presentation on 30 May 1998, “my colleagues on the Board of Directors will use words such as dedication, loyalty, commitment, tireless, enthusiasm and friendship... (she is) affectionately known as the Mother of the Association”... said Kevan Pipe during Canada Soccer’s Annual Meeting of the Members in 2022, “Lorraine was at the heart of (it all), behind the scenes and getting things done in her most effective and efficient manner”... also said Pipe in 2022, “she did (her job) with grace, with dignity, with charm and with humour”... said her family in 2022 after her passing, “she was selfless, kind, caring, patient, humble, humorous, generous and one of the strongest people we have ever known”...
