In fact, so great was his fame in this game that he captained the Island team in San Francisco and other cities in the States and brought them back victorious”... said Adam in 1924 before leaving with Canada for a tour of Australia and New Zealand, “followers of soccer in Canada can rest assured that all will do their best”... as noted in 1924 in an Australia program, Adam was “once one of the finest centre forwards Canada has ever seen”... wrote the Victoria Times in 1939, “probably the most brilliant centre forward in the history of Canadian soccer, Jimmie Adam captained the All-British Columbia soccer teams in practically all occasions from 1903 to 1915”...
