Women’s World Cup Team Appearance Schedule

Ottawa, Ontario –The Canadian Women’s World Cup team will be making various appearances in advance of their two international friendly games against Brazil on Thursday, July 17th at Molson Stadium in Montreal and Sunday, July 20th at Frank Clair Stadium in Ottawa presented by Whirlpool.

MONTREAL



The Women’s team will be making a club appearance to go through some soccer drills with the youth members and will be available for autographs after the session. The appearance schedule as follows.



Monday July 16, 2003

19:00 – 20:30

Club Visit to ARS Laval at Terrain Competance 2000



Team Canada will be working with the youth members of the club and will be available for autographs



OTTAWA



The Women’s will have several appearances. There will be at a lunchtime concert with Earthbeat 2003, on stage at the Ottawa International Jazz Festival, pep rally at the Market Media Mall and an autograph session at Frank Clair Stadium. The appearance schedule as follows:



Friday July 18, 2003

12:00 – 13:00

World Exchange Plaza – Ottawa, Ontario



Team Canada will be appearing with the drum band at the Friends Without Borders/Earthbeat 2003 Lunch Concert



Friday July 18, 2003

20:00 – 21:00

Ottawa International Jazz Festival



Team Canada and Brazil will be introduced on the Main Stage for the Samba and Rumba Night.



Saturday July 19, 2003

13:00 – 14:00

Market Media Mall Parking Lot – Ottawa, Ontario



Pep Rally for Team Canada with members of CHUM Media. The team will be demonstrating and will be available for autographs. There will also be an opportunity for fans to win tickets to the game on Sunday July 20, 2003.



Saturday July 19, 2003

18:30 – 19:00

Frank Clair Stadium – Ottawa, Ontario



Team Canada will be signing autographs before their practice. Everyone is welcome including Brazil fans as both teams will be there. You are also invited to stick around and watch Team Canada practice in preparation for the game on Sunday July 20, 2003
