“Winners would like to take this opportunity to wish (Canada) the best of luck as you pursue your Olympic dream. You are truly an inspiration to the youth soccer clubs in local communities nation-wide. At Winners, we pride ourselves at being dedicated, responsive and involved community partners and the strength, courage and teamwork you exemplify today is what we strive to communicate as core values to the soccer clubs we support nation-wide. On behalf of the associates at Winners across Canada, good luck in your competition and we wish you every success!”

Winners has been the title sponsor of Canada’s women’s national team since 2007. This year, through its partnership with the Canadian Soccer Association, Winners has also kicked off a community partnership with local soccer clubs in 40 markets across Canada. The community program will sponsor more than 150 teams in 2008, primarily at the U-7 to U-9 level. The program is scheduled to reach over 750 teams over the next four years.

Another highlight of the Winners partnership is the Sharp Shooter program. This program will invite children at the local level to submit their stories about why they love the sport and/or a story that has been a big part of their soccer playing careers.

The 2008 community partnership will also feature an exciting new “Mothers in the Community” program in selected markets. Clubs will nominate a soccer mom from one of their Winners sponsored teams. The parent chosen will be one that best exemplifies the spirit, enthusiasm and passion of a Soccer Mom.

Along with Winners title sponsorship of Canada’s women’s senior team, Winners is also the title sponsor to Canada’s women’s U-20 team. Canada’s women’s U-20 team is currently preparing for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
