Watch episode 2: #CANWNT series on the road to Australia & New Zealand 2023

#WeCAN #CANWNT

With extended, behind-the-scenes footage and never-before-seen interviews, Canada Soccer has launched the Canada Soccer Women’s National Team #WeCAN Documentary Series, presented by CIBC, following the team on the journey to the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™. The Documentary Series will run across the four weeks leading-up to Canada’s opening match at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup ™, with an episode being released weekly.

The #WeCAN Documentary Series provides unique insight into the inner workings of Canada Soccer’s National Teams on the road to the biggest tournaments in the world of sports. Produced by Canada Soccer, the series is spoken in the ‘athlete’s voice,’ thus providing an opportunity for the players and staff of the National Teams to tell their story in their own words.

Episode two of the series, “The Final Summit”, sees #CANWNT begin a new climb towards the FIFA Women’s FIFA Women’s World Cup™ by testing themselves against three European giants at the Arnold Clark Cup in England. The team says goodbye to a Canadian goalkeeping legend, Stephanie Labbé, in front of a packed house at BC Place as the Gold Medal Celebration Tour continues. Prime Minister Trudeau visits the team on Vancouver Island, and the team heads south to Monterrey, Mexico to take part in the Concacaf W Championship — the region’s new premier tournament – which serves as FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying.
