Toronto FC visits Vancouver

Toronto FC has arrived in Vancouver in advance of Match Day Four of the 2010 Nutrilite Canadian Championship. Toronto FC, the championship leader, will face Vancouver Whitecaps FC in what is considered a must win for the host. Vancouver still has three matches left to catch Toronto, but must draw or win to stay alive in the points chase.

Toronto FC has arrived in Vancouver in advance of Match Day Four of the 2010 Nutrilite Canadian Championship. Toronto FC, the championship leader, will face Vancouver Whitecaps FC in what is considered a must win for the host. Vancouver still has three matches left to catch Toronto, but must draw or win to stay alive in the points chase.



The Wednesday match will be broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet East and Rogers Sportsnet West at 23.00 ET / 20.00 PT. The match will be streamed via the web on Sportsnet.ca or CanadaSoccer.com, the official website of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship.



The 2010 Nutrilite Canadian Championship runs six consecutive Wednesday nights from 28 April to 2 June. The championship features Impact Montréal, Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The top team not only wins the Voyageurs Cup, but also clinches a spot in CONCACAF Champions League.



Last week on 12 May, Toronto FC won 1:0 over the Impact, giving Toronto FC a perfect six points after two matches. Both Vancouver Whitecaps FC (0-1-0) and Impact Montréal (0-1-2) have one point each.



Now in its third season, the Nutrilite Canadian Championship features Canada’s top professional clubs in a six-match, round-robin format. Each club plays four matches – two at home and two on the road. This year’s six matches will be played at Stade Saputo in Montréal, BMO Field in Toronto and Swangard Stadium in Vancouver. All six matches will be broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet.
