Canada wins 11:1 over Haiti at the 2002 CONCACAF Women’s World Cup Qualifier in Victoria, BC. Christine Sinclair scores four goals and Charmaine Hooper scores three goals. Silvana Burtini (two) and Candace Chapman also score for Canada. Hooper’s first goal is the 50th goal of her international career.

Canada wins 8:0 over Guyana at the 2010 CONCACAF Women’s World Cup Qualifier. Christine Sinclair scores four goals for Canada.

THIS DAY IN FOOTBALL: 1 November 1980
Canada wins 2:1 over USA in a FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match in Vancouver, BC. Robert Iarusci and Branko Segota score for Canada, with the second goal scored on a penalty just before the end of the first half. Segota is the first teenager to score for Canada in an “A” match (also the first teenager to score for Canada in a FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match). Gene Strenicer suffered a broken arm.

Canada wins 1:0 over Jamaica in a FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match at Varsity Stadium in Toronto. Dale Mitchell scores the lone goal of the match.

Canada wins 9:0 over Jamaica in a FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier match at Centennial Stadium in Victoria, BC. Kara Lang (four), Christine Sinclair (two), Charmaine Hooper, Amy Walsh and Randee Hermus score for Canada.

THIS DAY IN FOOTBALL: 2 November 1981
Canada wins its first FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match played in Honduras, a 1:0 victory over El Salvador. Mike Stojanovic scores in the dying minutes of the match. Wrote coach Barrie Clarke, Canada “could have won 4-1, but in fact scraped a 1-0 win with only seconds left on the clock.”

THIS DAY IN FOOTBALL: 2 November 2010
Canada wins 3:0 over Mexico in the final group match of the CONCACAF Women’s World Cup Qualiying tournament in Cancún, Mexico. Candace Chapman, Josée Bélanger and Jonelle Filigno score for Canada. For Chapman, she becomes the 14th player to make her 75th appearance for Canada. She is also the fourth player to score in her milestone 75th match.

Canada wins 1:0 over El Salvador in a FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, BC. Alex Bunbury scores the lone goal on a penalty in the 65th minute to the delight of a sold-out home crowd. Paul Dolan becomes the ninth player to make his 50th appearance (he is the first goalkeeper to reach the milestone).

Canada wins 3:0 over Costa Rica in a FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier match at Centennial Stadium in Victoria, BC. Charmaine Hooper scores two goals in the first half before Christine Sinclair makes it 3-0 early in the second half. Karina LeBlanc posts her second-consecutive clean sheet.

THIS DAY IN FOOTBALL: 4 November 2006
Canada falls 0:1 to USA in the 2006 Women’s Peace Queen Cup in Seoul, Korea Republic. Kristine Lilly scores the lone goal in the 68th minute. Lilly wins the tournament’s Gold Ball while Canada’s Christine Sinclair wins the Golden Shoe (six goals in four matches). Sinclair also wins the Silver Ball as the tournament’s second-best player behind Lilly.
