Stratford SC are back-to-back Prince Edward Island women’s provincial champions after winning 4-3 on kicks from the penalty mark at UPEI Field in Charlottetown. Stratford SC won the 2022 title after a scoreless draw with PEI FC on Wednesday 17 August, making it the second year in a row that Stratford SC has beaten Charlottetown’s PEI FC in the provincial final.

For the Wednesday Final, Varsity’s starting lineup featured Kami Chaisson in goal, Isabelle Hagerman at right back, Madi Fischer and Erin Piltzmaker at centre back, Mary Cate Dodds at left back, Tyffanie Bordage, Caitlyn McCloskey and Emma McEachern at midfield, and Ella MacEachern, Emily Cormier and Braylan MacEachern up front. In the second half, Braylan MacEachern went in goal and Kami Chaisson played up front. Sarah Eden and Mackayla Vos were unavailable for the Final.

In 2021, Stratford SC won 2:1 over PEI FC in the Women’s Premier Championship. Before Stratford SC, there was no provincial winners in 2020 (because of the global pandemic) and Winsloe-Charlottetown were seven-time winners from 2013 to 2019.

While Stratford SC won the women’s title, Winsloe-Charlottetown Royals FC were acclaimed 2022 Prince Edward Island champions as the only PEI representatives in the New Brunswick Premier Soccer League.
