Soccer Month To Air On YTV

Ottawa, Ontario – The Canadian Soccer Association today announced a new association with YTV and Kellogg’s which will see an integrated promotion launched on-air on YTV and on-line at ytv.com. The promotion includes “Soccer Shorts” (vignettes featuring Canadian National Team players), on-line soccer games, drills and tips, live webchats with Canadian National Team players and a Kellogg’s “Get on the Team” contest.
The Soccer Shorts (vignettes) and Zone Soccer Interviews will run Monday to Friday in The Zone (4-6 pm ET/PT). They will run at least three times per week between July 1st and July 19th. There are six vignettes in all, featuring Men’s World Cup players Jim Brennan and Paul Stalteri, Women’s World Cup goalkeeper Taryn Swiatek and midfielder Kristina Kiss and Carmelina Moscato and Kara Lang from the U19 Women’s World Cup team.
Children should visit ytv.com to play the cool online game, and to enter the Kellogg’s Get on the Team Contest to win a trip to the 2003 Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament (Women’s Gold Cup) in Victoria, BC in late October and early November 2002. This contest will be featured in a 30-second advertisement which we will be aired at least 192 times between June 24th and August 3rd.
