Saskatoon SK Impact FC will face Montréal’s Underdogs FC in the Sunday Final at the 2025 Women’s Futsal Canadian Championship. The two sides will go head to head in the Canadian Final after winning their respective groups on Saturday 12 April in Regina, Saskatchewan.
The Women’s Futsal Canadian Championship Final kicks off at 14.00 local at the Brandt Arena in the REAL District. There will be eight matches on the day including the Men’s Futsal Canadian Championship Final which kicks off at 12.00 local time. Admission to all matches is covered by FC Regina, the hosts for this year’s competition.
For fans across Canada and around the world, the Futsal Canadian Championship is broadcast live on the FIFA+ platform with the Women’s Final available at 16.00 ET / 13.00 PT.
Both Saskatoon and Montréal went undefeated in the group phase with three-straight wins from Thursday through Saturday. Saskatoon previously won bronze in 2023 while Underdogs FC are participating in their first Futsal Canadian Championship. To reach this year’s Futsal Canadian Championship, Saskatoon SK Impact FC eliminated last year’s national winners Saskatoon Green & White in the provincial championship.
Futsal is an exciting and fast-paced sport played indoors on a small court with five players to each side. It features a sport-specific ball that does not bounce the same way as a traditional football bounces on grass or turf and the sport features its own unique Futsal Laws of the Game which differ from traditional football. Each match features two 20-minute halves with the clock stopped each time the match is interrupted as well as rolling substitutions so that players can come in and out of the match.
At the elite club level, Canada Soccer supports domestic competition through the annual Futsal Canadian Championship for men and women. Canada Soccer launched the Men’s Futsal Canadian Championship in 2015 and the Women’s Futsal Canadian Championship in 2023.
