The Saskatchewan Soccer Association announced their 2007 award winners at the Saskatoon Inn Hotel and Conference Centre today. Kevin Krause and Kailee Marland were named senior players of the year while David Brown and Liz Hudon were named youth players of the year.
Krause represented Saskatchewan this year at the 2007 BMO National Championships Senior Men’s Challenge Cup in Halifax, NS (Hyundai Cup). Marland, meanwhile, was the goaltending star for the University of Saskatchewan.

Krause represented Saskatchewan this year at the 2007 BMO National Championships Senior Men’s Challenge Cup in Halifax, NS (Hyundai Cup). Marland, meanwhile, was the goaltending star for the University of Saskatchewan.
At the youth level, Brown represented Saskatchewan at the 2007 BMO National Championships U-16 Boys All-Star Selects in July. He then represented Hollandia Gremio at the 2007 BMO National Championships U-16 Boys Club Championship in Sherwood Park, AB (adidas Cup) in October. Hudon, meanwhile, finished fourth with Hollandia Impact at the 2007 BMO National Championships U-18 Girls Club Championship in Fredericton, NB (Sony Cup) in October. Both Brown and Hudon were Saskatchewan Premier League most valuable players in their respective age groups.
Other award presentations were Senior Team of the Year (Yorkton United Impact), Youth Team of the Year (Hollandia U-18 Girls), Youth Coach of the Year (Mark Dupperon), Referee of the Year (Christine Hoff), Volunteer of the Year (Kathy Chisholm), and David Newsham Oustanding Volunteer (Esther Dupperon).
