Annual PEISA award winners
Ibrahim Sanoh and Briar Roberts have been celebrated as the best players on Prince Edward Island for the 2016 season. Sanoh won the PEISA Senior Male Athlete of the Year award while Roberts took home her second-straight PEISA Senior Female Athlete of the Year award. Colin Curran was named the Youth Male Athlete of the Year while Madison Hurley was named the Youth Female Athlete of the Year.
In 2016,Sannoh of Holland College was named male Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association player of the year for the second year in a row. Roberts, meanwhile, was named female ACAA Player of the Year for the second year in a row.
Other award winners were Andrew Bartlett as Coach of the Year, Aziz Chiheb as Senior Official of the Year, Hailey Terstege as Youth Official of the Year, Mark Victor as Administrator of the Year, Chelsey and Courtney Gunn for the Alan Godfrey Volunteer of the Year, and both Hannah Hardy and Thomas Carter-Thompson for the Lowell Stewart Memorial Award. The RC United U-14 Girls team were named PEI Team of the Year.
The annual Prince Edward Island Soccer Association awards were celebrated on Saturday 25 February 2017.
