Across the 2025 and 2026 seasons, Canada Soccer’s four player-development leagues will qualify 32 teams to the third edition of the PDP Championship. The national youth competition features the PDP U-17 Cup and PDP U-15 Cup for both boys and girls.
Here’s an overview of the league qualifiers that lead to the 2026 competition (along with the total number of clubs participating in each division).

BOYS’ PDP U-17 CUP
Qualifiers for the 2026 PDP Championship:
(13) British Columbia: 13 youth teams in the BCSPL take part in the League Cup through June 2026 from which the top team qualifies
(9) Alberta: nine youth teams in the APDL from September 2025 through July 2026 from which one team qualifies
>> Same teams in the APDL Cup from which the Cup winner (or league runner up) qualifies in July
(25) Ontario: 10 youth teams in the 2025 final round from which the top two teams qualify
>> Ontario: 12 youth teams in the 2025 East Division from which the top U-16 teams advance to the Premier division
>> Ontario: 13 youth teams in the 2025 West Division from which the top U-16 teams advance to the Premier division
