Québec’s Sporting Montréal FC will look to be the first team to repeat as Futsal Canadian Championship winners when they face Ontario’s Toronto Idolo Futsal on Sunday 22 April. Ontario defeated Sporting Québec FC in a thrilling Group A finale 7:6 to earn first place in the group and sending Sporting Québec FC to play for bronze against Saskatoon Olimpia SK FC.
Saskatoon, last year’s runners-up, defeated Manitoba’s Winnipeg Rovers FC 8:2 to earn second place in Group B. Manitoba will move on to face Alberta’s Calgary Progressive FC for fifth place, while the seventh place match will feature two territories as Yukon’s Whitehorse Yukon Selects FC will face Nunavut’s Rankin FC.
 
NU-Rankin FC 2:14 QC-Sporting Montréal FC

Sporting Montréal FC qualified for their second straight Futsal Canadian Championship Final earning a full 9 points in Group B action. Berlin Jean-Gilles scored five Mohamed Ramzdine Farsi and Manuel Adair Chavez Melendez had three each, Mohamed-Abdullah Souilmi had two and Jonathan Amaya-Canales scored a single for Québec. For their part, Rankin FC held a 1-0 lead mid-way through the first half on Brian Nilaulak’s goal. Kris Okpatauyak book ended Québec’s goals with a last minute penalty.
AB-Calgary Progressive FC 10:1 YT-Whitehorse Yukon Selects FC
Alberta’s Calgary Progressive FC earned their first points of the Futsal Canadian Championships with a win over Yukon’s Whitehorse Yukon Selects FC. Graham Fisher had four, Shawn Chamberlain had two, and Michael Zepeda, Nicholas Rapchuk, Franciso Puerta, and Carlos Melendez Salinas scored singles for Calgary. Ashley Jordan scored for Yukon.
SK-Saskatoon Olimpia SK FC 8:2 MB-Winnipeg Rovers FC
Saskatchewan finished second in Group B with the win over Winnipeg who will play in the 5/6 match on Sunday against Calgary. Nikolas Baikas scored three, Mitchell Bauche had two and Fitzroy Christie and Evan Schuler added singles for Saskatoon. Yahia Chihab had a single for Winnipeg.
QC- Sporting Québec FC 6:7 ON-Toronto Idolo Futsal
Ontario’s Toronto Idolo Futsal withheld late pressure from Québec’s Sporting Québec FC to earn their place in the Fustal Canadian Championship final with a 7:6 victory. Eduardo Jauregui and Damion Graham scored twice, and Jacob Orellana, Luis Rocha, and Kevin Valdes had singles. Jonathan Vallée had three, Diego Flores had two, and Bila Dicko-Raynauld had a single.
