Olympic football opens CBC coverage

Canada’s coverage of the 2008 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament begins this Wednesday 6 August on CBC television. The Canada-Argentina match will be broadcast in the early hours at 04.30 ET or 01.30 PT. It will be the first of three group matches that Canada will play from 6-12 August. Canada’s women’s football team is currently in Tianjin, China putting the final touches on its preparations. Canada will play at least two matches at the Tianjin Olympic Sports Center Stadium: Wednesday 6 August against Argentina and Saturday 9 August against China.
