Scott Arfield earned Man of the Match honours in Canada’s record 8-0 win over US Virgin Islands in Concacaf Nations League Qualifying. At the club level, he split the year between Burnley FC in England’s Premier League and Glasgow Rangers FC in Scotland. He also starred for Rangers FC in UEFA Europa League.

Milan Borjan | SRB / FK Crvena Zvezda 
Milan Borjan posted three clean sheets in three international wins in 2018. At the club level, he won the 2017-18 Serbian SuperLiga championship. He played in UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League, notably setting the all-time record for clean sheet by a Canadian goalkeeper in UEFA club competitions.

Lucas Cavallini | MEX / Puebla FC
Lucas Cavallini scored three goals in three Concacaf Nations League Qualifying matches in 2018. At the club level, he scored 14 goals in league action during the 2018 calendar year for Puebla FC: eight goals during the 2017-18 Clausura and six more during the 2018-19 Apertura.

Jonathan David | BEL / KAA Gent
Jonathan David scored three goals and two assists in his first three international matches in 2018, all during Concacaf Nations League Qualifying. In club action, he scored four goals and one assist in nine league matches for KAA Gent in Belgium. He also scored two goals in four European matches.

Alphonso Davies | CAN / Whitecaps FC de Vancouver 
Alphonso Davies scored four assists in three Concacaf Nations League Qualifying matches in 2018. Before joining FC Bayern München at year’s end, he scored eight goals in 27 Major League Soccer matches for Vancouver Whitecaps FC. He also played in the 2018 MLS All-Star Game.

David Junior Hoilett | WAL / Cardiff City FC
Junior Hoilett scored two goals and two assists in three international matches in 2018. At the club level, he was Cardiff City FC’s Players’ Player Award winner as the club gained promotion to England’s Premier League for the 2018-19 season. He also scored in FA Cup action in January.

Atiba Hutchinson | TUR / Beşiktaş JK
Atiba Hutchinson made two appearances for Canada in 2018, including his milestone 80th international match away in November when he scored the winning goal and earned Man of the Match honours. At the club level, he continued to star for Beşiktaş, including a Round of 16 appearance in 2017-18 UEFA Champions League.

Cyle Larin | TUR / Beşiktaş JK
Cyle Larin scored three goals in four matches for Canada in 2018, including two goals in a record 8-0 win over US Virgin Islands in September. He joined Beşiktaş midway through the 2017-18 season and also featured in 2018-19 UEFA Europa League. He scored a hat trick in less than half an hour on 19 May.

Liam Millar | ENG / Liverpool FC U-23
Liam Millar earned Man of the Match honours in his international debut in March and then recorded an assist in his second match in September. At the club level, he played for Liverpool FC’s U-23 team in UEFA Youth League. He also played and scored in Premier League 2 Division One and Premier U-18 League.

Jonathan Osorio | CAN / Toronto FC
Jonathan Osorio scored one goal in three international matches for Canada in 2018. At the club level, he scored 17 goals in 43 matches in all competitions for Toronto FC. He was MVP and Top Scorer of the Canadian Championship and Top Scorer of 2018 Concacaf Champions League.

Samuel Piette | CAN / Impact de Montréal 
Samuel Piette played three international matches for Canada in 2018, all three of which were victories. At the club level, he played in all 34 MLS matches and recorded three assists from the midfield. He was also named Québec Soccer Player of the Year for the 2018 season.

Ballou Tabla | ESP / FC Barcelona B
Jean-Yves Ballou Tabla made his first two international appearances for Canada in 2018, including an away start in St. Kitts and Nevis. At the club level, he played for FC Barcelona B and recorded an assist in both 2017-18 and 2018-19. He also played in the UEFA Youth League in 2017-18.
