Alongside the match schedules, Regulations for each of Canada Soccer’s national amateur competitions are published at canadasoccer.com/competitions. Regulations are reviewed each winter and this past year’s review process included direct feedback from Member Associations and Participating Clubs, post-event surveys with participants including coaches and managers, December workshops with members of the Competitions Committee, plus consultation and feedback from Canada Soccer staff.
For the adult competitions, amendments to the Regulations included:
This year marks the biggest year ever for Canada Soccer’s national amateur competitions with a record 130 qualified amateur teams set to take part in 14 divisions from the Futsal Canadian Championship in April to the Player-Development Program Championship in August and then the National Championships in October. Those 130 teams will qualify from a group of more than 1,100 teams taking part in competitive leagues and cup competitions across the country.
October’s four adult divisions for both men and women will feature 34 qualified teams from a group of more than 300 amateur teams taking part in competitive leagues and cup competitions from September 2024 through September 2025. The list of all qualified teams for all divisions of Canada Soccer’s national amateur competitions will be updated throughout the season at canadasoccer.com/competitions.
