2019 Youth Licence Pilot results in 20 coaches being granted 3-year licence
Twenty coaches from organizations in Ontario and Nova Scotia are the initial recipients of the Canada Soccer Youth Licence designed for coaches working full-time in the game with players aged 13-18.
The initial recipients include Canada Soccer Half of Fame member and former Men’s National Team standout Paul Stalteri and staff working at Canada Soccer Member Associations and clubs that are part of the Canada Soccer Club Licensing Program. In addition, some of the coaches are Coach Developers now working as Learning Facilitators in Canada Soccer’s Coach Education Program.
The Canada Soccer Youth Licence content involves theoretical and practical components focusing on holistic, effective coaching of youth players in the Canada Soccer Coach Education Development Stream.
