Hutchinson makes 50th appearance for Canada

Canada’s Atiba Hutchinson has made his 50th appearance for Canada’s national team. Hutchinson reached the milestone as part of Canada’s starting XI for the 8 October Men’s International Friendly match against Ukraine in Kyiv.

Canada’s Atiba Hutchinson has made his 50th appearance for Canada’s national team. Hutchinson reached the milestone as part of Canada’s starting XI for the 8 October Men’s International Friendly match against Ukraine in Kyiv.



Hutchinson, 27, is in his eighth season with Canada’s national team. He made his debut back on 18 January 2003 in a Men’s International Friendly match against USA. Hutchinson becomes the 20th player to reach 50 appearance with Canada’s national team.



Hutchinson’s experience includes participation in two FIFA World Cup Qualifier campaigns and four CONCACAF Gold Cups. Before reaching the full national team, he represented Canada at two FIFA U-20 World Cups.



Midfielder Hutchinson currently plays professional soccer in Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven. In 2006, he was runner-up in voting for Canadian Player of the Year honours.
