Canada and Mexico are the first two CONCACAF teams to qualify for Germany 2011. A third team – the world’s number-one ranked USA – could seal its spot this Saturday 27 November in the second and final playoff match against Italy. USA won the first match 1:0 over Italy in Italy; the return match kicks off at 13.00 local from Chicago, IL, USA.
Along with Canada and Mexico, the 15 teams that have qualified include Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Australia, Korea DPR, England, France, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Colombia, Brazil and Germany, host of the competition.
Canadian Soccer Association president Dr. Dominic Maestracci and national coach Carolina Morace will both be attendance at the Official Draw for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011 on Monday. Coach Morace will provide reaction from the draw to CanadaSoccer.com on Monday.
