The Canadian Soccer Association announced today disciplinary action imposed following review of the 2010 Nutrilite Canadian Championship match played on 5 May 2010 between Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Impact Montréal.

Impact Montréal defender Adam Braz has been fined an additional $1000 for his unsporting behaviour following his dismissal from the 5 May match. Braz directed abusive language to the fourth official and game operations staff upon leaving the pitch.

Impact Montréal forward Reda Agourram has been suspended for an additional match and fined an additional $1000 for his violent conduct in the 5 May match. Agourram was shown a red card in the 96th minute of the 5 May match.

Braz will also serve a one-match suspension which means he will miss the 12 May match between Montréal and Toronto FC. Agourram’s additional match means he misses both the 12 May match against Toronto FC and the 26 May match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

Impact Montréal’s Roberto Brown, currently serving a two-match suspension for his conduct on the 28 April match, will also miss the 12 May match against Toronto FC.

Canadian professional teams – Impact Montréal, Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC – are competing for a spot in 2010-11 CONCACAF Champions League.
