#ThankYouSinc
Thank you, Sinc.
Canadians from coast to coast to coast have been leaving heartful messages to Christine Sinclair to thank her for all that she has done for her sport and her country. After 24 years as an international footballer, she makes her last appearance in Canada colours this Tuesday 5 December in Vancouver at the renamed-for-the-day “Christine Sinclair Place.”
On matchday, fans are encouraged to arrive early and grab a photo next to the #ThankYouSinc hashtag in the Terry Fox Plaza outside the stadium. Inside the stadium on concourse 209, fans are encouraged to leave a message on the #ThankYouSinc wall. Throughout the stadium, fans can find merchandise kiosks which will be selling an exclusive, limited-edition Christine Sinclair GOAT shirt.
Ahead of kick off, there will be a special presentation to honour three Olympic medal winners from Canada Soccer’s London 2012 to Tokyo 2021 teams, notably Sinclair alongside Erin McLeod and Sophie Schmidt. Then on the 12th minute of the match in recognition of Sinclair’s iconic #12 jersey, fans are invited to begin a full minute of applause in honour of Sinclair.
