Claim of Clearly Excessive Punishment submitted by Forge FC on behalf of Mr. Kwasi Poku, following a send-off for serious foul play during Canadian Premier League Match #88, held September 3, 2023 between Vancouver FC and Forge FC (87th minute). The Club sought to limit the disciplinary consequences of the sending-off offence by making a claim that the standard punishment would be clearly excessive.
OUTCOME: The claim is rejected. The player must serve the standard punishment (two (2) match suspension + monetary fine).
