Ottawa, Ontario – In light of the recent developments surrounding the Copa America tournament, the CSA this afternoon issued the following statement.
“We are aware of the situation unfolding in regards to Colombia hosting the Copa America but have yet to receive official word from organizers or CONMEBOL. All indications point to the tournament being moved to another country. We will await official confirmation from CONMEBOL on what direction is being taken in regards to the tournament before issuing further comment. For the time being, our preparations for the tournament are continuing as they would normally.”
