CANWNT Roster Announced for November Series vs Japan

23 players selected; Canada prepares for two-match series against Japan to close out 2025 season

Canada Soccer has unveiled the 23-player roster selected to represent Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team (CANWNT) during the upcoming November FIFA international window, as Canada travels to Nagasaki for a two-match series against FIFA eighth-ranked Japan, the final fixtures of the 2025 calendar year.

Canada and Japan will open the series on Saturday, 29 November at Nagasaki Stadium City (Peace Stadium), with kickoff at 1:30 a.m. ET / 10:30 p.m. PT (28 November). The second match will follow on Tuesday, 2 December, kicking off at 12:00 a.m. ET / 9:00 p.m. PT (1 December) at Transcosmos Stadium Nagasaki in nearby Isahaya.

Head Coach Casey Stoney will not travel with the team due to personal family matters. Assistant Coach Natalie Henderson will lead the team during Stoney’s absence, supported by the remainder of the technical staff, with the addition of Jen Herst.

“Although I am personally heartbroken to miss this window, I have full confidence in this team’s resilience to bounce back from past performances and deliver a strong showing against Japan. They are one of the most technically disciplined and tactically intelligent programs in the world and competing on their home soil will demand the highest standards from our group. This window represents another important step in our continued growth as we build toward 2026.”
