CANMNT to play October Friendly against Panama in Toronto 

Canada Soccer has announced that its Men’s National Team will play Panama in an international friendly during the upcoming October FIFA window. 

The match will take place on Tuesday 15 October at 19:30 ET / 16:30 PT in Toronto with tickets starting at just $25 (plus applicable fees).

Toronto has also been selected as the host of CANMNT’s 2024-25 Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinal second leg, with the match scheduled for Tuesday 19 November. Ticketing details for the November Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinal will be released at a later date. 

CANMNT are coming off an incredible run at the 2024 Copa América this summer in which Canada placed fourth, the highest of any Concacaf team at this summer’s tournament. Canada impressed in their debut in South America’s premier international competition, qualifying out of Group A with the defending tournament champions Argentina and two-time winners of the competition in Chile and Peru. Canada then defeated Group B winners Venezuela in the quarterfinals before a defeat in the semifinal to Argentina and in the third-place game to Uruguay. Canada rose eight spots in the FIFA Men’s World Ranking from 48^th to 40^th. 

Canada Soccer are actively looking to secure another opponent in the October FIFA window working around scheduling challenges with major tournament qualifying and domestic competitions.
