Canadians Make All-Tournament Team

CONCACAF unveiled today in San Jose, Costa Rica, the 2004 Women’s Pre-Olympic All-Tournament Team.

The All-Tournament Team was selected by the CONCACAF Technical Study Group and features the “Best XI” along with seven Honourable Mentions.



Goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc (CAN) was named to the “Best XI,” along with defenders Joy Fawcett (USA), Sharlota Nonen (CAN), Gabriela Trujillo (CRC).



The midfield is composed of Shannon Boxx (USA), Cindy Rodriguez (CRC), Monica Vergara (MEX) and Aly Wagner (USA), while Shirley Cruz (CRC), Maribel Dominguez (MEX) and Abby Wambach earned accolades at the forward positions.
