Canadian soccer fans go to the CNE for free on match-day

The Canadian Soccer Association, in association with the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), is pleased to offer soccer fans attending the opening 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Qualifiers match against St. Lucia on 2 September, 2011 a free all-day entry to the CNE, Canada’s largest annual fair!

Kick off for the match featuring Canada’s Men’s National Team against St. Lucia is set for 20.00 ET. Fans are encouraged to make the trip to BMO Field early (CNE gates open at 10.00 ET) to get the most out of their free all-day access to the CNE, a value of $16.



Fans that have not yet purchased their ticket can do so through Ticketmaster.ca or 1.855.985.5000. Advantageous three-match series tickets as well as individual tickets are available, starting as low as $20 for single-match tickets.



The Canadian Soccer Association and CNE are also pleased to announce that people already planning on visiting the CNE on 2 September will have the opportunity to come and cheer Canada on through a special combined offer with the CNE. Simply present your CNE admission ticket at BMO field’s box office (Gate One) and you can purchase an event ticket valued at $25 for only $9! Thirty-five nations from CONCACAF will participate in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Qualifiers. After five teams were eliminated in CONCACAF Round 1, there are 24 teams participating in CONCACAF Round 2 this fall. Six Round 2 group winners will then meet up with six more nations for CONCACAF Round 3, with the 12 teams separated into three groups. The top two teams from each Round 3 group will then advance to CONCACAF Round 4, a final group of six teams from which three teams will automatically qualify from Brazil 2014™ and a fourth team will advance to an intercontinental playoff against the champion from Oceania.
