Association applauds the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Active and Safe initiative.

The Canadian Soccer Association applauds the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Active and Safe initiative to reduce brain injuries in youth team sports and is committed to its implementation in the sport of soccer.

The program, which aims at raising awareness on concussions, brain injuries and improved return-to-play decision-making, will provide tools and resources to players, coaches and parents. These resources will play a significant role in ensuring the safety of the ever growing number of young soccer players across Canada.
