Seventeen members of Canada’s squad trained together this morning in Thornhill, ON in preparation for Wednesday’s Men’s International Friendly against Ecuador in Toronto (19.00 local kick-off).

With a near-complete roster now assembled in the Toronto area, the team used today’s session to rekindle the on-pitch relationships between the players.

“Training was sharp today,” said Assistant Coach Tony Fonseca. “Most of the guys have been with us for different spells and they understand exactly what needs to be done.”

Amongst the players to rejoin Canada for the session in Thornhill was midfielder Jonathan Beaulieu-Bourgault.

“It was a good training session,” Beaulieu-Bourgault said. “It was fun to be back with the team and to see all the guys. It’s always nice to be back in Canada again.”

The team will take part in its final training session ahead of Wednesday’s match against Ecuador Tuesday morning at BMO Field in Toronto.
