Canada had its first training session in Berlin this Tuesday 21 June in advance of this weekend’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011 opener. The Canucks trained behind closed doors at Mommsenstadion.

Canada had its first training session in Berlin this Tuesday 21 June in advance of this weekend’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011 opener. The Canucks trained behind closed doors at Mommsenstadion.



Canada faces host and two-time champion Germany in the opening match this Sunday 26 June at the Olympiastadion Berlin. The Sunday night match kicks off at 18.00 local (12.00 ET / 09.00 PT).



Canada, whose title sponsor is Winners and presenting sponsor is Teck, will continue to train throughout the week. This will mark Canada’s fifth participation in a FIFA Women’s World Cup.
