Canada Soccer’s eNational Team Kicks-off 2023 Season

Canada’s impressive season saw them jump from #36th to #7th in the FIFAe Nations Rankings becoming the highest ranked country in North & Central America and will look to build on previous success heading into 2023. 

Canada Soccer’s eNational Team returns for the 2023 eNations Season with the 2023 eNations Play-Ins. The eNations Play-Ins are the first step on the journey to qualify for the 2023 eNations Cup – the most prestigious event of the year, where one nation will be awarded the title of FIFAe Nations Cup 2023™ Champions. All matches are played on the PlayStation 5 version of FIFA 23 using FIFA Ultimate Team Squads. 

Returning for 2023 are eNational Team members AJ and GoalMachine, both were integral in securing Canada Soccer’s first ever qualification for eNations Cup in 2022. Canada advanced out of the group stage of the 2022 eNations Cup in Copenhagen but were eliminated by Argentina in the Round of Sixteen.

2023 FIFAe Nations Series

FIFAe Nations Play-Ins: December 2022 – March 2023
FIFAe Nations Qualifiers: 20-23 April 2023
FIFAe Nations Playoffs: 18-21 May 2023
FIFAe Nations Cup: TBD

The long qualification journey begins with the FIFAe Nations Play-Ins, which occur over three match-weeks between December 2022 and March 2023. In this round, teams that participated in previous year’s eNations Series play in a division based round-robin style tournament. The top two teams after Match Week 3 will advance directly to the FIFAe Nations Playoffs, while the 7 remaining teams will join any newly added Nations in the FIFAe Nations Qualifiers. 

Match Week 1: 15-16 December

Match Week 2: 26-27 Jan

Match Week 3: 2-3 Mar

Canada is joined in the Play-Ins by Mexico, USA, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Honduras, Panama, Dominican Republic, and Trinidad & Tobago.
