Canada Soccer has confirmed the format and groups for the adult divisions of the 2025 National Championships to take place this October in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador (men’s Challenge Trophy and women’s Jubilee Trophy) as well as Winnipeg, Manitoba (men’s and women’s Masters Championship). The four adult divisions will feature 34 qualified teams from a group of more than 300 teams taking part in competitive leagues and cup competitions from September 2024 through September 2025.

All four adult divisions of the 2025 National Championships will feature group matches followed by medal matches on the last day of their respective competitions. Open to all member provinces and territories across the country, the men’s Challenge Trophy competition will feature 10 qualified teams while the women’s Jubilee Trophy and two Masters divisions will feature eight qualified teams each. The Masters Championship plays on consecutive days from 2-5 October in Winnipeg while the National Championships for the Challenge Trophy and Jubilee Trophy play on consecutive days from 8-13 October in St. John’s.

As Canada Soccer’s largest national event featuring amateur clubs from coast to coast to coast, the National Championships provide a meaningful week-long experience for players, coaches, support staff, officials and volunteers. As part of the Youth Competitions Network, this year’s National Championships U-17 Cup takes place in Kamloops, British Columbia while the U-15 Cup takes place in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Canada Soccer’s Player-Development Program Championship takes place from 26-31 August in Vaughan, Ontario for both the PDP U-17 Cup and PDP U-15 Cup.

The National Championships have served as the nation’s primary amateur soccer competition for more than 100 years, with the men’s competition inaugurated in 1913, the youth competition inaugurated in 1966, and the women’s competition inaugurated in 1982.
