Canada Soccer announces first-ever eNational Team to participate in FIFAe Nations Cup Online Qualifiers

Canada to participate in North American Online Qualifiers 23-25 April

Canada Soccer has named an initial eNational Team roster ahead of FIFAe Nations Cup Online Qualifiers taking place 23-25 April. AgitPower (Playstation) and GoalMachine21 (Xbox) will face Puerto Rico, United States, Costa Rica, and Mexico before in round-robin action ahead of a double elimination cross-over that will see two nations move ahead to the FIFAe Nations Cup taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark 20-22 August.

“Canada Soccer is excited about the opportunity to have two experienced eSports participants join the ranks of our National Teams and compete for the country in a growing FIFAe marketplace for the first time,” said Peter Montopoli, Canada Soccer’s General Secretary. “We’re proud of the tremendous success of our inaugural Toyota eNational Championships earlier this year, and our strong legacy in the FIFA gaming franchise including having our very own Christine Sinclair on the cover celebrating the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015™.”
