Canada MNT welcomed into Toronto

Canada’s men’s national team completed a third morning of training in Alliston, ON before traveling down to Toronto on Wednesday afternoon. The move comes just two days away from the opening match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers™, set for this Friday 2 September 2011 at BMO Field in Toronto, ON.

Tickets to the Friday FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match for as little as $20. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster (Ticketmaster.ca / 1-855-985-5000). Purchased tickets to the match include free entrance to the Canadian National Exhibition (starting that morning at 10.00 ET).



Upon its arrival into the downtown core, coach Stephen Hart and footballers Atiba Hutchinson and Simeon Jackson met with the press at the Official Welcome Press Conference at the Intercontinental Hotel. The media event was led by Gerry Dobson of Rogers Sportsnet. Dobson and Sportsnet One, along with colour commentator Craig Forrest, will have the live call on television this Friday night (20.00 ET / 17.00 PT). Sportsnet One will also carry the Tuesday 6 September match from Bayamón, Puerto Rico.
