The event featured a fine selection of authentic Chinese cuisine. The dinner was preceded by entertainment by local musicians and dancers. In attendance, along with the two national teams, were members of the Chinese Football Association, the local organising committee, the regional sports bureau, and the local business community. Canada’s head of delegation Mike Traficante and national head coach Carolina Morace were both welcomed at the head table.
