A full house expected to support Canada in its critical Concacaf W Olympic Play-In against Jamaica

Canada Soccer announced today that the Women’s National Team Concacaf W Olympic Play-In match against Jamaica on Tuesday 26 September in Toronto, ON is now sold-out. The 26 September match, co-presented by CIBC & Visa, is set to kick off at 19.00 ET and conclude a two-match home and away series against Jamaica with a berth to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games up for grabs.

The news comes on the heels of this summer’s most successful FIFA Women’s World Cup™, as nearly two million fans watched 64 matches played across 10 stadiums in Australia and New Zealand. According to reports, this was an improvement of more than half a million on the previous record, as positivity around the commercial growth and interest in women’s sport continues.

Jason deVos, interim Canada Soccer General Secretary echoed the international growth and interest.
“This is another example of how the women’s game in our country is widely supported and continues to grow. Playing in Toronto has become a fortress for our National Teams and we are thrilled to see that fans have once again embraced our players for such an important match.”

Pre-Match Fan Fest
Fans attending the match are encouraged to arrive early to stadium and maximize their match day experience by attending the official Pre-Match Fan Fest hosted outside of Gate 1, starting at 17.00. The Fan Fest will feature interactive and engaging activities and giveaways from Canada Soccer and its marketing partners.

On 26 September, fans are invited to bring new or gently used soccer equipment to the TELUS booth at the Pre-Match Fan Fest to win amazing prizes such as tech, Canada Soccer merch, or a jersey signed by the Women’s National Team courtesy of TELUS. The items collected will be re-distributed to local underserved communities, helping to create opportunities for soccer participation and inspire youth to reach their full potential through the sport.

Wear Canada’s colours, bring your flags, scarves, anything that will contribute to creating the best possible support for the team. Once in the stadium, join in on the singing of ‘O Canada’ and participate in the chants being generated by the Voyageurs Canadian Soccer supporters group.
