BC Soccer announces award winners

The British Columbia Soccer Association has announced its annual award winners. West Van FC’s Paul Dailly has been selected 2009-10 Senior Athlete of the Year while Nicole Setterlund has been selected 2009-10 Youth Athlete of the Year.

The British Columbia Soccer Association has announced its annual award winners. West Van FC’s Paul Dailly has been selected 2009-10 Senior Athlete of the Year while Nicole Setterlund has been selected 2009-10 Youth Athlete of the Year.



Dailly, who has won both the Challenge Trophy and Sam Davidson Trophy with British Columbia teams, spent the 2009-10 season with West Van FC of the Vancouver Metro Soccer League. He also participated in the 2009 BMO National Championships in Saskatoon, SK, scoring two goals in four matches.



Setterlund, meanwhile, has come up through the Vancouver Whitecaps program. She won a gold medal with British Columbia at the 2009 Canada Games Women’s Soccer Tournament. She then won a gold medal with Canada at the 2010 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship in Costa Rica.



Other 2009-10 BC Soccer award winners include Senior Coach of the Year David Fiorvento, Youth Coach of the Year George Dotto, Senior Official of the Year Michelle Pye, Youth Official of the Year Evan Fryer, Administrator of the Year David Wood, and A.C. Sanford Award winner Roy Nosella. Richmond Soccer was recognized with the President’s Award, Bruce Erikson was recognized with the Award of Merit, and Jim Richardson, Deb Anglos and Roy Mitchell were recognized with Life Membership.
