Atlético Gatineau came from behind to win the men’s 2025 Futsal Canadian Championship after they beat two-time defending champions 9 de Octubre FC Toronto on Sunday 13 April in the Canadian Final. Adam Péladeau was the hero after he scored his 13th, 14th and 15th goals of the week in the 3:2 victory over Toronto at Brandt Arena in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Sixteen teams competed in the two divisions of the 2025 Futsal Canadian Championship, hosted this year in Regina’s REAL District. Atlético Gatineau won the men’s division while Saskatoon SK Impact FC won the women’s division.
Gatineau started their comeback with still four minutes to go in the first half after Péladeau scored on a pass from Kévin Lévry. Toronto veterans Joshua Paredes-Proctor and Alejandro Portal had given 9 de Octubre the 2-0 lead with both goals assisted by Matthew Rios.
In the second half, Péladeau equalised just after two minutes on a corner kick from Bila Dicko-Raynauld. That goal set a new record for most goals by a player in the Futsal Canadian Championship. Then with just three minutes to go, MVP Péladeau completed his hat trick with the 3-2 winner.
This year marked the ninth edition of Canada Soccer’s men’s Futsal Canadian Championship since the competition was inaugurated in 2015. Atlético Gatineau are the sixth different winner of the competition. Led by coach André-Pierre Laurin, the 2025 winning team featured goalkeepers Anthony Dupuis and Louis-Philippe Legault as well as outfield players Alexandre Basiala, Bila Dicko-Raynauld, Alaaeddine Fathi, Heikel Jarras, Kévin Lévry, Tyrese Leyan Simbi, Papa Mbodji, Adam N’Goran, Cyrille Ndikizang, Patrick Pacheco, Adam Péladeau, and Goran Tosic. Also with the squad in Regina were third goalkeeper Justin Turmel, coaches Yann Carreaud and Marco Guarino, and President Max Rosen.
