Allen Replaces Sinclair In England Series

Montreal, Quebec – Canadian Women’s World Cup Team head coach Even Pellerud today announced Chilliwack, British Columbia native Amber Allen will replace Christine Sinclair in the two match series against England. Both forwards are teammates with the Vancouver Whitecaps.

“With Sinclair and Burtini out of the line-up, I wanted someone with lots of skill and experience,” said Pellerud. “Allen was my first choice.”

Sinclair is having a non-injury related minor medical procedure and will be out for the next two weeks. She is expected to recover fully.
