9 de Octubre, Atlético Gatineau reach Men’s 2026 Final at the Futsal Canadian Championship

Toronto’s 9 de Octubre and reigning champions Atlético Gatineau will once again go head-to-head on the final day of the Futsal Canadian Championship. The two sides both reached the 2026 Canadian Final after they won their respective Semifinals on Saturday 11 April.

The Men’s 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship Final starts at 14.15 local time at the Chief Jim Starlight Centre inside the 7 Chiefs Sportsplex. Admission to all matches this week have been provided by the Calgary United Soccer Association, the hosts for this year’s competition in partnership with Tourism Calgary. Matches are also broadcast live on FIFA+ including both the men’s and women’s Canadian Finals (16.15 ET / 13.15 PT).

Toronto’s 9 de Octubre reached the Canadian Final after they won 3:2 over Edmonton Rangers SC in the first of two Saturday Semifinals. It marks the fourth year in a row that they have reached the Canadian Final, having previously won the national title in 2023 and 2024. Atlético Gatineau booked their ticket to the Canadian Final after a 6:2 win over Saskatoon Unity FC.

Toronto and Gatineau also faced each other Thursday in the opening day of the 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship. Toronto led 2-1, Gatineau equalised at the buzzer, but then Toronto won 4-3 on penalties.

This year’s competition features a record 10 provinces and territories represented across the men’s and women’s divisions. For the first time ever, the 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship featured knockout matches including the Friday Quarterfinals and Saturday Semifinals. The enhanced format ensures a full four-day competition with meaningful matches for all participating teams.

At the elite club level, Canada Soccer supports domestic futsal through the annual Futsal Canadian Championship for men and women. The Men’s Futsal Canadian Championship was launched in 2015, with the Women’s Futsal Canadian Championship introduced in 2023, reflecting the continued growth of the sport nationwide. This past year, Canada qualified for the first edition of the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup™.

The Canadian Final for the Women’s 2026 Futsal Canadian Championship is scheduled to start at 16.30 local time (17.30 ET / 14.30 PT).
