If Canada’s Women’s National Team want to reclaim the Cyprus Cup title for the first time in three years, they now know the path they’ll have to take in order to get there.

Canada, who has been runners-up to France and England, respectively, in the last two years will be one of eight teams vying for the tournament crown and are in Group A, alongside last year’s champions from England. The tournament will feature 12 teams split into three groups but only teams from Groups A and B are in contention for the title.

They’ll open the tournament on 5 March against Finland in a venue still to be determined. They’ll follow that up on 7 March against Italy at the GSZ Stadium in Larnaca before wrapping up the group stage with a rematch of last year’s final against England on 10 March at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia, CYP.

Play in the round robin portion of the tournament will determine which ranking game Canada will play as the tournament comes to a close on 12 March.

Canada is the three-time champion of the tournament, having come home with the title in the 2008, 2010, and 2011 editions of the tournament. They have finished never finished any worse than second place.
